Wynn Beats Ex-Partner’s $140M Defamation Suit In Japan

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 1:54 PM EDT) -- Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada's $140 million lawsuit alleging Wynn Resorts Ltd. defamed him with foreign bribery and racketeering accusations was thrown out Monday after a Tokyo court ruled it lacked jurisdiction over the case, according to media reports.

The Tokyo District Court ruled that the legal battle between former Wynn Resorts' vice chairman Okada and the company is technically based in the U.S. and should be heard there, the Japan Daily Press reported.
