Landlord Challenges Wrigley Field Hotel Project In Court

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT) -- A landlord who owns apartment buildings next to a proposed Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.-branded hotel across the street from Wrigley Field in Chicago sued the city and developers on Tuesday, claiming the hotel will slash his property value.

In a suit filed in Illinois state court, Thomas Romano Sr. claims the Chicago City Council improperly amended zoning ordinances for the project, which is part of a $500 million renovation of the Chicago Cubs' Wrigley Field and the development of nearby property.
