Ill. Regulators Bar Round-The-Clock Gambling In Boat Casinos

Law360, New York (October 24, 2013, 6:00 PM EDT) -- After several weeks of debate, Illinois Gaming Board authorities announced Thursday that they are denying a bid to allow riverboat casinos to operate 24 hours a day.

The decision limits riverboat casinos to the current approved maximum of 22 hours of operation and defeats a bid that had been made by local lobby group, the Illinois Casino Gaming Association, according to commission documents.
