Hasbro To Pay $73M In Royalties To Nerf Gun Licensor

Law360, Los Angeles (November 1, 2013, 10:45 PM EDT) -- An arbitrator has ordered Hasbro Inc. to pony up $72.9 million in royalties in connection with its license agreement with product development firm Johnson Research & Development Co., the licensor of its Nerf line of toy guns, Hasbro announced Thursday. 

Following an August arbitration hearing in Atlanta, the arbitrator ruled in favor of Johnson Research and ordered Hasbro to pay $72.9 million in damages, interest and fees, Hasbro said.
