NY Panel Greenlights Penalty System For Underage Gambling

Law360, New York (November 4, 2013, 4:50 PM EST) -- The New York State Gaming Commission on Monday kick-started the legislative process for a proposal that would put in place new fines and penalties for racetracks, video lottery terminals and other operations guilty of violating underage gambling laws.

At a commission meeting, the panel approved a motion to propose a new penalty structure that is similar to how New York agencies handle alcoholic beverage sales to underage buyers.
