Insurers Settle Alaven's $10M Reglan Injury Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 1:27 PM EST) -- Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC has settled demands that First Specialty Insurance Corp. kick in $5 million of excess coverage toward defending litigation alleging injury from Alaven’s brand versions of digestion medication Reglan, it said in court papers filed Monday.

Alavan notified U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg of Georgia that the parties had struck a deal in principle and were drafting final settlement documentation with the goal of dismissing with prejudice later this month. The judge administratively closed the case Wednesday.
