Air Force Adds 9 Companies To $7B NetCents Contract

Law360, New York (November 7, 2013, 7:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. Air Force on Tuesday added nine companies to its $6.9 billion Network-Centric Solutions-2 contract for networking equipment and products, hoping to address the latest series of bid protests filed against the long-delayed procurement.

The contract is part of the Air Force's massive $24 billion NetCents-2 network procurement, which spans seven different multiaward contracts for different products and services. The NetCents-2 acquisition has provided fertile ground for protests, and contractors have raised dozens of objections to the Air Force's solicitation and contract decisions.
