High Court Snubs Avis Appeal In $16M Licensee Dispute

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 6:27 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court refused an appeal Monday from Avis Budget Group, which claims it was wrongly denied the right to exclude a juror from a case with licensee Alaska Rent-A-Car, essentially upholding the Ninth Circuit's $16 million ruling for ARAC after more than 10 years of back-and-forth litigation.
