Ga. DOT Nabs $275M Loan For Highway Traffic Project

Law360, New York (November 22, 2013, 11:49 AM EST) -- The Georgia Department of Transportation received a $275 million loan from the U.S. Department of Transportation to help fund the construction of reversible traffic lanes along two heavily traveled highways in the Atlanta area, officials said Thursday.

The $833.7 million project is meant to ease congestion along nearly 30 combined miles of I-75 and I-575 by creating blocked off reversible lane down the middle of the highway that can be designated for travel in either direction depending on the flow of traffic, according to the Georgia...
