Sierra Club Suit Over Tahoe Projects 'Myopic,' Agency Says

Law360, New York (December 2, 2013, 4:27 PM EST) -- The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency asked a California federal judge Wednesday to toss what it called a "myopic" suit launched by the Sierra Club seeking to block an update to a regional plan, which would open more than 300 acres of undeveloped land in Lake Tahoe to resort development.

In a cross-motion for summary judgment, the TRPA urged the court to reject claims raised by Sierra Club and Friends of the West Shore that the TRPA last year approved an update to its 1987 regional plan...
