Kaiser Evades Transport Contractor's FCA Suit

Law360, Chicago (December 4, 2013, 3:31 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday tossed a False Claims Act suit accusing Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. of wrongly pocketing federal funds it received to pay for the transport of Medicare Advantage patients after the parties agreed to end the litigation.

U.S. District Judge William H. Orrick issued a one-page order dismissing the complaint brought by contractor ProTransport-1 LLC, pointing to a stipulation of dismissal signed by both sides in the case.
