Tampa Airport Taps Texas Firm For $496M Upgrade Contract

Law360, Miami (December 5, 2013, 6:18 PM EST) -- Austin Commercial came out on top Thursday in a competition to oversee the design and building of a new consolidated car rental facility and automated people mover at Tampa International Airport, the first phase of $943 million in planned improvements.

The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board followed the recommendation of its staff, which had given the Dallas-based company the top technical ranking among the eight bidders for the project, which carries a $495.7 million budget.
