'Unappetizing' Arbitration Clause Halts Applebee's Wage Suit

Law360, Washington (December 12, 2013, 4:29 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday stayed a server's putative wage-and-hour class action against the owner of 39 Applebee's restaurants and enforced the company's arbitration agreement with its employees, reluctantly saying that while such individual arbitration deals may be “unappetizing,” they are legally enforceable.
