Special Master To Oversee $765M NFL Concussion Deal
By Juan Carlos Rodriguez (December 17, 2013, 4:14 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday appointed a special master to review the proposed $765 million deal between the National Football League and players who sued the league after suffering from the aftereffects of concussions sustained during play.
Perry Golkin, co-founder and CEO at Public Pension Capital Management and formerly at private equity firm KKR & Co. LP was chosen by U.S. District Judge Anita Brody to help evaluate the financial aspects of the settlement, which she said is expected to be complex.
