NJ School Board Settles Privacy Suit Over Google Subpoena

Law360, New York (December 17, 2013, 6:19 PM EST) -- An anonymous online poster has resolved a lawsuit against a New Jersey school board that subpoenaed Google Inc. seeking that person's identity, with the board agreeing to drop its subpoenas in exchange for certain information from “Assessmentgate,” plaintiff's counsel announced Tuesday.

Under a settlement that the Montclair Board of Education approved Monday, Assessmentgate will respond to questions from the board as it investigates the unauthorized disclosure of student tests but won't reveal his or her identity, according to the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey....
