Airbnb Backs Down From HomeAway Ad Dispute

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 4:37 PM EST) -- Airbnb Inc. and competitor HomeAway Inc. settled a dispute with undisclosed terms in Texas federal court this week over Airbnb's use of the image of a birdhouse — HomeAway's trademark— in an advertising campaign that has been removed from the company's website.

The parties did not disclose terms of the settlement, and related court documents were not immediately available, but a HomeAway spokesperson confirmed that the dispute has come to a close.
