Palm Beach Council Balks On Golf Course Redevelopment

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 4:45 PM EST) -- A Palm Beach, Fla., commission on Thursday voted to postpone its decision on a developer's proposal to build a large-scale residential complex on a now-defunct golf course so county officials, the developer and local opponents can continue negotiations over the project.

In a 7-1 vote, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners's zoning board pushed back a vote on changing the land's entitlements until March, after a holding a hearing that included significant opposition from local stakeholders.
