Verint Inks $514M Deal For Analytics Software Co.

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 1:17 PM EST) -- Verint Systems Inc. will drop $514 million to nab private equity-backed Kana Software Inc., allowing the software maker to bolster its ability to analyze customer engagement both on-site and through the cloud, according to a Monday statement.

Under the terms of the deal, New York-based Verint will shell out $100 million from its cash reserves, $300 million through loans and $114 million from the software company's revolving credit facility to pick up Kana from the tech-focused private equity firm Accel‐KKR, according to a statement.
