Judge Says $197M Hotel Foes Can Carry On Ballot Petition

Law360, New York (January 8, 2014, 7:19 PM EST) -- An Oregon county judge on Tuesday approved a deal allowing activists who oppose tax subsidies for a proposed $197 million hotel to gather petitions to force a ballot vote on the matter, while litigation moves forward over whether a vote can be used to overturn the financing deal.
