New Earthquake Maps May Halt $664M Hollywood Project

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 4:10 PM EST) -- New preliminary earthquake maps released Wednesday in California show fault lines running through the site of a hotly contested $664 million mixed-use project in Hollywood, a location that developer Millennium Hollywood LLC has argued is well-suited for skyscrapers.

Located just north of the popular Hollywood and Vine intersection, the project consists of a 200-room hotel, 492 residential units and nearly 100,000 square feet of office space that will add to the existing Capital Records Building, according to building plans approved in February 2013.
