EA Didn't Report 'Battlefield 4' Bugs, Shareholders Say

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 1:36 PM EST) -- Electronic Arts Inc. on Monday was hit with a putative shareholder class action in California federal court accusing it of disregarding system errors when promoting its new "Battlefield 4" video game, leading to artificially inflated stock prices.

Stockholders claim the video game company’s stock rose because it highlighted the strength of "Battlefield 4" while failing to report the bugs and other problems with the game. As a result, the holiday rollout of the game was not successful and the stock prices plummeted.
