Paris Baguette Dodges Suit Over Credit Card Info On Receipts

Law360, Chicago (January 17, 2014, 2:02 PM EST) -- U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff on Thursday tossed a proposed class action accusing Paris Baguette America Inc. of violating the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act by printing credit and debit card expiration dates on receipts, saying he would soon issue an opinion explaining his decision.

In a brief order, Judge Rakoff granted a motion to dismiss the case from Paris Baguette, a subsidiary of a Korean bakery chain that runs a dozen stores on the East Coast.
