Contractor Gets 46 Months For Role In Nova Datacom Scheme

Law360, Washington (January 27, 2014, 6:51 PM EST) -- A Washington, D.C., federal judge on Monday sentenced the head of government contracting company Avenciatech Inc. to nearly four years in federal prison for his part in the largest domestic bid-rigging case in U.S. history, the latest sentencing in the criminal prosecution that also took down tech contractor Nova Datacom.

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan sentenced Oh Sung Kwon, 48, to 46 months in federal prison for charges stemming from a bribery scheme in which he paid thousands of dollars to a U.S. Army official...
