5th Circ. Affirms $2.7M Judgment For Chinese Drywall Maker

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 2:19 PM EST) -- The Fifth Circuit on Tuesday upheld Chinese drywall manufacturer Taishan Gypsum Co. Ltd.'s $2.7 million default judgment in sprawling multidistrict product liability litigation, finding the district court had jurisdiction based on the company's close ties with a Virginia distributor.
