Take-Two Beats 'Grand Theft Auto' Online Delay Gripe

Law360, Los Angeles (January 29, 2014, 8:12 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday tossed a putative class action claiming the makers of video game blockbuster “Grand Theft Auto V” misled gamers by marketing online features that weren’t immediately ready, ruling the packaging never promised the features would be available at launch.

U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips granted Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.’s motion to dismiss the suit, which alleged the company violated the state’s false advertising and unfair competition laws.
