Christie Knew About Lane Closings, Ex-Official Says

Law360, New York (January 31, 2014, 8:22 PM EST) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie knew about the closure of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge that created a traffic nightmare in Fort Lee, N.J., last September, according to a letter released Friday by the lawyer of former Port Authority of New York and New Jersey official David Wildstein.

The letter — penned by Wildstein’s attorney Alan L. Zegas to Port Authority general counsel Darrell Buchbinder — says there is evidence that Christie knew of the lane closures, contradicting Christie’s denial of any personal involvement...
