Wynn Asks 9th Circ. To Toss Joe Francis' Defamation Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (February 6, 2014, 6:45 PM EST) -- Casino mogul Steve Wynn on Thursday urged the Ninth Circuit to force a district court to toss “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis’ multimillion-dollar defamation suit accusing Wynn of making a false criminal allegation over a gambling debt, saying the complaint is barred under a California law protecting free speech.
