NY-NJ Port Authority OKs $27.6B, 10-Year Capital Plan

Law360, New York (February 20, 2014, 1:14 PM EST) -- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Board of Commissioners on Thursday approved a $27.6 billion, 10-year capital plan that it expects to help the agency maintain and improve upon its regional transportation infrastructure in addition to creating tens of thousands of jobs.

The Port Authority described the plan as "historic," saying it "provides a blueprint to renew the agency's focus on its core mission of maintaining and building regional transportation infrastructure," in addition to creating jobs and stimulating regional economic activity.
