'American Idol' Owner Sues Sony Over Royalties

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 3:28 PM EST) -- The company behind blockbuster Fox reality singing competition “American Idol” filed suit against Sony Music Entertainment in New York federal court Thursday, alleging it and many of the show's most successful competitors have been cheated out of millions in royalties.
