Judge Tosses Some Claims In IPO Securities Suit

Law360 (March 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Defendants in the initial public offering securities litigation scored a victory when a district court judge tossed several of the claims against them in the six focus cases anchoring the suit.

In an opinion handed down on Wednesday, Judge Shira Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted in part and denied in part a motion to dismiss filed by the issuers and underwriters of the initial public offerings in question.
