Pa. Developer Who Stole $1.1M Gov't Funds Gets 87 Months

Law360, Philadelphia (February 27, 2014, 3:36 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania developer who pled guilty to misappropriating more than $1.1 million in government funds associated with a failed Harrisburg construction project was sentenced Thursday to 87 months in prison in Pennsylvania federal court.

David Richard Dodd II, who channeled loans from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development into his own brokerage account, had already been ordered by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Sylvia Rambo to pay $21 million in restitution to contractors and other parties involved with the Capitol View Commerce Center....
