NJ Gives Go-Ahead For Multistate Slot Machine Gambling

Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 7:39 PM EST) -- New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement on Wednesday approved the state’s participation in multistate “progressive” slot jackpots, a move designed to spur gamblers to spend more money in Atlantic City through the promise of unprecedented winnings.

According to a DGE statement, Atlantic City slot gamblers will soon have access to larger jackpots, thanks to a new system developed by International Game Technology that will allow for progressive slot jackpots across state lines.
