CBS, Ford, Others Hit With Asbestos Suit

Law360, New York (February 28, 2014, 8:20 PM EST) -- CBS Corp., Ford Motor Co. and several others were hit with a lawsuit Thursday by a man claiming he developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos in a wide range of products from packing materials to turbines and automotive components.

In a suit filed in California court, Larry H. Speer, who was diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma in December, claimed he was unaware of the risk of asbestos exposure from products including boilers, compressors, cement pipes, brakes and gaskets, among other materials, which he claimed the defendants...
