KBR Urges 9th Circ. To Toss $81M Toxin Award

Law360, New York (March 3, 2014, 5:32 PM EST) -- Defense contractor KBR Inc. on Friday asked the Ninth Circuit to toss an $81 million award for U.S. National Guard members allegedly exposed to toxic chemicals at a facility in Iraq, citing a high court ruling last week in Walden v. Fiore that raised the bar for a court’s jurisdiction over defendants.
