Welder Can't Escape Suit Over 2008 NYC Crane Collapse

Law360, New York (March 5, 2014, 1:56 PM EST) -- A New York judge on Monday absolved a metal weld testing firm of liability for work on a crane that collapsed on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in 2008, but declined to do the same for a welding contractor, saying it might have committed to examine the shoddy components blamed for the disaster.
