Founders Fund Amasses $1B To Aid Startups With 'Vision'

Law360, New York (March 6, 2014, 3:47 PM EST) -- San Francisco-based venture capital firm Founders Fund raised $1 billion to support startups focused on changing the world in a broad range of sectors including aerospace, artificial intelligence, energy and health, according to a Wednesday statement.

The fund, dubbed Founders Fund V, marks the firm’s fifth fund suite since its inception in 2005, and the latest money raised will continue Founders’ mission of investing in small businesses that have a strong social mission, according to a statement.
