Justices Want SG's Take On BofA Truth In Savings Act Appeal

Law360, Washington (March 10, 2014, 12:29 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday asked the solicitor general to weigh in on whether private parties can sue banks under the Truth in Savings Act, after Bank of America NA asked the high court to nix a putative class action against it.

The high court asked for federal government in a one-line docket order, just months after Bank of America asked it to nix a California Supreme Court decision that revived a class action accusing it of failing to properly notify customers of fee increases....
