Ga. Senate OKs Tax Breaks For Game Makers, Aircraft Parts

Law360, New York (March 12, 2014, 6:35 PM EDT) -- The Georgia Senate on Wednesday passed proposed tax reforms that would make permanent the sales tax exemption for aircraft parts and maintenance and create new tax incentives for in-state video-game developers.

Senators voted 49-3 in favor of a bill extending the tax exemption on aircraft parts and 39-14 for a bill that would make available a new tax credit for Georgia video-game developers. The bills were passed with minor modifications and will be sent to the House for consideration, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
