9th Circ. Says Calif. PAGA Suits Not Federal Class Actions

Law360, Los Angeles (March 13, 2014, 5:41 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Thursday sent a wage-and-hour suit brought by Chase Investment Services Corp. employees under California’s Private Attorney General Act back to state court, upending a district court ruling in a precedent-setting decision that splits the California suits from federal class actions.
