Chinese Co. Remains In CRT Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 7:14 PM EDT) -- The California federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation alleging a conspiracy to fix prices on cathode ray tubes affirmed the court's personal jurisdiction over Chinese manufacturer Beijing Matsushita Color CRT Co. Ltd. while handing down a bevy of orders on dismissal motions Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Samuel Conti denied Beijing Matsushita's motion to dismiss the complaint brought by several retailers, including Target Corp. and Best Buy Co. Inc., finding that the companies had pled sufficient facts to tie Chinese CRT maker's business to the U.S.
