High Court Wants US View On $373M Edison Pension Suit

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 2:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday asked the government to weigh in on a petition lodged by Edison International workers seeking to appeal a Ninth Circuit ruling upholding the dismissal of their $373 million class action claiming their pension plan was imprudently managed.

The high court invited the solicitor general to submit a brief expressing the government's view on the case, in which the workers are asking the justices to consider how the time limits for bringing Employee Retirement Income Security Act claims against 401(k) plan...
