Serco Wants Whistleblower's Navy Contract FCA Suit Canned

Law360, Washington (April 22, 2014, 6:12 PM EDT) -- Serco Inc. on Monday urged a California federal court to dismiss a former employee's whistleblower suit accusing it of falsely billing the U.S. Navy on contracts for a "virtual border" project, saying its billing was accurate and complied with the agreed contract terms.

While relator Darryn Kelly argues that Serco's invoices submitted to the Navy for work on its Advanced Wireless Systems project had violated the False Claims Act, he had failed to articulate how or why, or show that the company had retaliated against him for the suit, it argued, asking for summary judgment.
