FTC Directors Back Tesla's Push To Direct-Sell Cars

Law360, New York (April 24, 2014, 5:06 PM EDT) -- A trio of Federal Trade Commission directors on Thursday criticized laws in New Jersey, Texas and several other states that require consumers to purchase their cars from independent auto dealers, saying that car manufacturers such as Tesla Motors Inc. should be allowed to sell directly to consumers.
