Reuters Settles Fired Analyst's Whistleblower Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (May 13, 2014, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Thomson Reuters Corp. has reached a settlement with a former analyst in a whistleblower suit alleging the multinational news wire service fired him for reporting suspected insider trading violations to the FBI, according to court documents filed on Monday.

U.S. District Court Judge Andrew J. Peck terminated the case on Monday after receiving a letter from the plaintiff's attorney announcing the settlement, giving the parties 15 days to revive the case if the settlement isn't finalized. Details about the settlement were not released on Tuesday....
