Port Authority Liable In 1993 Attack: Appeals Court

Law360, New York (April 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's negligence was largely to blame for the 1993 terrorist attack in the World Trade Center's underground parking garage, a New York appeals court said Tuesday.

A five-judge panel in the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, First Department, unanimously upheld a lower court's refusal to set aside a jury's verdict holding the agency liable in the bombing.
