Andrews Kurth Settles $51M Suit Over Client's Stanford Deal

Law360, Houston (June 16, 2014, 9:19 AM EDT) -- Andrews Kurth LLP settled what remained of a $51 million lawsuit Sunday with a former client that says the firm caused it to sustain massive losses on real estate deals with Stanford Financial Group following a Texas judge’s order that the firm pay no damages. 

Tom Ajamie of Ajamie LLP confirmed that his client Walton Houston Galleria Office LP struck a deal with Andrews Kurth Sunday evening, resolving litigation over Walton’s claim that it could have avoided a disastrous attempt to sell an office complex to Stanford had it known of an ongoing federal investigation into the fraudster.
