Law360, New York (May 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Certain municipalities have begun to pass mandatory paid sick leave, minimum wage and other employment laws that make compliance more challenging for companies with a nationwide presence, according to management-side attorneys.

“It's hard enough to try to comply with laws of the U.S., plus 50 states, but if you're a multi-jurisdictional employer, it's going to be extremely difficult to comply with the requirements of thousands of municipalities if they get into the act,” said Marc A.
