$30M Thomas Settlement Nears End Of The Track

Law360, New York (May 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In one of the first settlements related to the spate of recalls of products made in China, a judge in Illinois has given preliminary approval to a possible $30 million settlement related to RC2 Corp.'s recall of toys tainted with lead.

Cook County Circuit Court Judge William O. Maki gave the initial approval Monday, said plaintiff attorney Jay Edelson of KamberEdelson LLC on Thursday. A hearing on final approval of the deal is set for Aug. 6.
