SeaWorld Settles 'Aquatica' TM Claims With Swimwear Co.
By Aaron Vehling (July 25, 2014, 1:20 PM EDT) -- SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. and Spiraledge Inc. have settled a trademark infringement lawsuit the swimwear company brought against the theme park operator over its use of the mark Aquatica, according to a notice filed in a California federal court.
On Wednesday the two companies told U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara L. Major that after mediation this month they have agreed to a dismissal of Spiraledge's lawsuit, which included claims that SeaWorld's use of the mark to market its three Aquatica parks in California, Florida and Texas has infringed on Spiraledge's long-registered mark and caused the company to lose sales revenue.
