Wal-Mart Ruling Opens New Road To Calif. Developers

Law360, New York (August 8, 2014, 9:03 PM EDT) -- In signing off on how a city council approved a Wal-Mart Stores Inc. expansion, the California Supreme Court has given developers a new way to get their projects approved through the state's ballot initiative process that avoids a usually lengthy environmental review, attorneys said Friday.
